Iran's government dismissed claims the country's death toll from the coronavirus could be as high as 50. Authorities vowed to be transparent after being accused of covering up the deadliest coronavirus Covid-19 outbreak outside China.
A fifth person infected with the coronavirus has died in Italy, the chief of the civil protection agency has announced, according to Reuters. Italian media reported that the dead patient was 88 and came from the region of Lombardy.
